WILLOW TREE
PET AND EQUINE CREMATIONS
Welcome to Willow Tree Pet and Equine Cremations.
My name is Hugh Jones and as a lifelong dog owner myself, I understand the devastating loss of a pet has on you and your family.
I passionately believe, that as loyal and loving members of our family, our pets should be treated with the upmost care, compassion and dignity upon their passing.
I have created and now run Willow Tree, to the highest of standards and transparency and you can trust me to treat your pet as if they were one of my own.
Sorry but we are currently unable to provide horse cremations.
All pet and horse cremations at Willow Tree are covered by CCTV for your peace of mind. We aim to bring every pet and horse back home to you as soon as possible.
What happens after my pet has passed away?
If you have chosen Willow Tree, we ask that you visit our website and choose your casket or urn and keepsakes. You then pay once you have chosen so there is no hidden costs. This allows you time to ensure you make the right choices for you and your pet.
Does my pet go into a plastic bag?
No, we provide all of the islands vet practices with bespoke cardboard caskets and they will place your beloved pet in one of these. We cremate your loved one within the casket to maintain dignity.
How is my pet stored?
We aim to collect and cremate your pet within a short period of time but we do have a temperature controlled facility for pets that are not cremated immediately.
Can I leave anything with my pet to be cremated with them?
Your vet will give you one of our message cards and you are invited to leave a personal message for your pet, which will go in the casket with them.
Can I leave their toys or collar with them?
Our cremation system is very eco-friendly and unfortunately we cannot cremate anything that might create fumes or smoke.
How does my pet get to your crematorium?
Once your vet has contacted us, we collect all pets from the vet surgeries the same day, at no extra cost. We cremate your pet as soon as we receive your instructions via our website.
What does private cremation mean?
Your pet will be cremated alone and all their ashes are retrieved. Our simple website will guide you through the process and allow you to choose a wide range of offerings exclusive to your pet type and size. We can also divide your pets ashes into different urns, caskets and keepsakes for family members. You will also be given a choice of plaque engravings to make your pets urn or casket personal to your pet and you.
How do I get my pets ashes back?
We will bring your pet home, along with any offerings you’ve decided on, at a time convenient to you at no additional charge.
How do I know the ashes I get back are definitely my pet’s?
We follow a very strict process during our cremations to ensure there is no possibility of any pets ashes being mixed up. We also have constant CCTV coverage of all cremations for yours and our peace of mind.
What if I have existing ashes that I would like transferred to one of your bespoke products?
If you contact us on hello@willowtree.je we can arrange to transfer your pet’s ashes to one of our offerings.
What happens when my horse passes away?
You can visit our website and choose from our range of equine caskets and our wide range of keepsakes and once we have received your instructions, we will organise the collection and individual cremation, and then return your horses ashes home once it is completed.
Who collects my horse?
The team from the large animal collection department, will continue to collect horses on our behalf and bring them to our crematorium. Their fees are all included in our cremation costs, so there’s only one amount to pay.
However if it is a difficult collection or an Out of Hours collection there will be an addition charge invoiced separately by WillowTree.
What if it’s a difficult collection?
A difficult collection might be a collection from an internal stable or other places with difficult access.
Any additional costs incurred caused by these collections will be invoiced to you separately.
Will my horse be cremated in its entirety?
We chose to install a double horse cremator to ensure all horses, however large, are cremated in their entirety and with dignity.
What happens if I do not pay?
If we have not received your instruction or payment within 72hrs of collecting your pet, we will still cremate them and send you the invoice for this service. We cannot take any horses without prior completion of our online form including payment.
What if I have a further question, which is not listed here?
Please drop us a line on hello@willowtree.je and we will endeavour to answer you within a few hours.
